Talent Development Program Musicale Featuring The String Queens

Virtual Stage

Performance Dates

Sunday, November 22, 2020 7:30 PM

Fellows of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Talent Development Program (TDP) take to the stage of Symphony Hall for an exciting evening of music featuring solo and chamber music performances. The virtual event will also feature a special appearance by the 2020 Aspire Award Winners, The String Queens. Each year, the Aspire Award is given to a musician or ensemble who represent the highest level of musical excellence and serve as a North Star for the TDP Fellows.

Since its inception 26 years ago, the TDP has served talented young musicians, and the entire field of classical music, by providing the highest level of musical training to hundreds of African American and Latinx students. Nearly 100 fellows have graduated from the program and gone on to attend top music schools, including The Juilliard School, Curtis Institute of Music, Manhattan School of Music, the Peabody Institute and more. This strong educational foundation has led many to careers in orchestras, teaching and performance.

Pre-Concert Virtual Reception at 6:30 p.m.
Tune in at 6:30 p.m. for a pre-concert discussion with TDP alumni and current fellows about the changing landscape of music education and performance in a virtual environment, facilitated by founder of Challenge the Stats Angelica Hairston.
