Making cameo appearances in everything from cult films to late-night comedy, the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto is one of music's greatest hits – a dazzlingly heroic, finger-busting adrenaline rush. Music Director Robert Spano pairs the great concerto with Christopher Theofanidis' energetic and joyous Symphony No. 1, which the ASO commissioned in 2009. The "mesmerizing" [The New York Times] French-Canadian pianist Louis Lortie returns as soloist.

Saturday evening includes a pre-concert recital of chamber music and solos performed by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Talent Development Program (TDP) Fellows at 6:45 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall. Free for all ticket holders of the November 15 and 17, 2018, concerts.
