Sashay through the "City of Lights" with French conductor Lionel Bringuier. Hear two concert hall favorites that were first performed in Paris: Igor Stravinsky's sensuous spectacular The Firebird and Maurice Ravel's jazz-inspired Piano Concerto. Also on the program, the cheeky and atmospheric 4th Symphony of the then Paris-based composer Sergei Prokofiev. Lise de la Salle, "a talent in a million" [Gramophone], makes her Atlanta Symphony debut.

Thursday evening includes a pre-concert lecture at 7 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall by ASO Insider and Program Notes Annotator Ken Meltzer. Free for all ticket holders of the May 2 & 4, 2019, concerts.
