Steve Brailsford, Tenor

Biography

Steve Brailsford, Tenor, has sung with numerous professional choruses throughout the Atlanta, Florida and Washington DC area; locally performing as Tenor soloist for St. Benedict's Episcopal in Smyrna, St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal, First Presbyterian Marietta and most recently a staff soloist at Peachtree Road Lutheran Church. His favorite performances as soloist have included Bach's Mass in B Minor, Handel's Dettingen Te Deum, and Mendelssohn's Elijah.

He has enjoyed singing with the National Christian Choir in D.C., the Tallahassee Community Chorus under the direction of Andre Thomas, and has been a frequent soloist with the Lynn Swanson Festival Singers and New South Festival Singers with solo performances at Piccolo Spoleto in Charleston, SC.

This is his second season with the ASO Chorus. Steve is an accomplished trumpeter, having played since the age of 12. He has performed in the Big Bend Community Orchestra in Tallahassee under the direction of Shelby Chipman and spent many years playing in community theater orchestras.

Steve holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from Georgia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University. He also holds a master's degree in Computer Science from Florida State University. He is currently a software engineer at Lockheed Martin Corp and studies voice with Rebecca Shipley.
