Chelsea Sharpe


A native of Duluth, Georgia, Chelsea Sharpe, 24, completed her master's degree in 2017 at the USC Thornton School of Music, where she studied with Glenn Dicterow and her undergraduate degree in 2015 at the Rice University Shepherd School of Music where she studied with Kathleen Winkler. Ms. Sharpe has spent her summers studying at Bowdoin International Music Festival, Le Domaine Forget (Quebec), Sarasota Music Festival, Heifetz International Music Institute, Music Academy of the West, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival, and abroad in the Mediterranean as a violinist for the Lincoln Center Stage Program. 

She has performed in masterclasses for the late Joseph Silverstein, Ani Kavafian, James Buswell, Midori Goto, and Pamela Frank. Ms. Sharpe is a 2011 graduate of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Talent Development Program and was concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra in 2010-2011.   In 2004, she was the subject of a joint Atlanta Symphony Orchestra/Georgia Public Television (GPTV) documentary entitled “Instrumental Success” with her former teacher, ASO violinist Ronda Respess. Ms. Sharpe is a current violin fellow in the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Florida.
