Piedmont Park Concerts

2013 Bank of America presents "Performance on the Promenade"

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Piedmont Park Conservancy have partnered to bring back an Atlanta institution – free, live orchestral performances in Piedmont Park. Since the tradition began on June 17, 1976 with a rousing performance led by the famed conductor Robert Shaw, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has performed over 100 concerts in Piedmont Park. From the first performance in 1976 through the most recent in 2007, the Symphony has reached hundreds of thousands of Atlantans through these free concerts. Now, after a six year absence from the Park, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will return to play two concerts, scheduled for May 17 and May 23, 2013. Concerts will begin at 7:30pm.
