June 1 - 6, 2009:
¡Música Ardiente! Festival Week 2
On June 1, 2009, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra launched week two of its ¡Musica Ardiente! Festival, a celebration of the music, dance, and imagery of Latin America. The ¡Música Ardiente! Festival was inspired by the concept and programs of conductor and curator Miguel-Harth- Bedoya’s Caminos del Inka Project. The second week of this two-week celebration, presented by CNN en Espanol, featured Tango, Fados, and Dance, featuring Luciana Souza and tango dancers, Rosa Collantes and Sefan Zawistowski. The festival also highlighted a series of free events thanks to valuable partnerships with musicians, composers, organizations, and cultural institutions in the Atlanta community.
