Trumpet
Michael Tiscione, a native of Monroe, NY, is currently a member of the trumpet section of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held since the 2002-2003 season.
Mr. Tiscione received a Bachelor's Degree in 2001 from Indiana University under the instruction of John Rommel. He completed his Master's Degree from Northwestern University in 2002 while studying with Charlie Geyer and Barbara Butler. During his time at NU he was concurrently offered positions with the ASO and the "President's Own" Marine Band in Washington, DC.
In addition to his duties with the ASO, Mr. Tiscione serves as second trumpet with the Sun Valley Summer Symphony in Idaho. He has also performed with the New York Philharmonic, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the Grand Teton Summer Festival Orchestra. As a chamber musician, he is in his third season as a member of the Atlanta Symphony Brass Quintet, performs at the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival and has also performed with the Chicago Chamber Musicians. He maintains an active teaching studio in Atlanta and is currently a faculty artist affiliate at Emory University.
