Kids' Holiday
The Company, Lee Harper & Dancers, was founded in 1980 to provide more performing opportunities for talented local dancers from a variety of backgrounds, with training in ballet, modern dance and jazz. A regular feature of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Symphony Street and Family Concerts, they have also presented The Amazing Dream Machine for thousands of school-age children through auspices of Young Audiences of Atlanta. In 1996 the company performed in the Opening and Closing of the Centennial Olympic Games, in addition to performances at Coca-Cola's Olympic City and other venues in the Atlanta area. Lee Harper Studios, the home of both the company and its children's company, for ages 8 to 18, offers instruction in creative movement, modern dance, ballet, jazz, and tap dance to children, teenagers, and adults.
