2009-10 Year In Review

May 25, 2010

The 2009-10 season of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra celebrated the Orchestra’s 65th anniversary season, the Youth Orchestra’s 35th anniversary season, and Jere Flint’s 30th anniversary as Music Director of the Youth Orchestra. In the spotlight were five world premieres (two by our Atlanta School of Composers yet to come in June 2010), a trip to Carnegie Hall for its China Festival, the opening of the Savannah Music Festival with Lang Lang, a visit to the Berlin Philharmonic for Donald Runnicles and the Chorus, and, at the conclusion of the season, the Orchestra will host the League of American Orchestras’ 65th National Conference in Atlanta. Join us in a look back...
