The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s 2009 Classical Summer Season was filled with a little something for everyone. From the powerful Opening Night performance of Carmina burana, to the patriotic All-American 4th of July Celebration, the other-worldy Star Wars and More, a night of Rodgers and Hammerstein hosted by TCM Host Robert Osborne, and concluding with the U.S. professional conducting debut of 16-year old prodigy Ilyich Rivas, ASO music fans had the opportunity to kick back, relax, and enjoy the sights, tastes, and sounds of the ASO’s new summer home at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park.
