Target Family Celebration

The Woodruff Arts Center’s Target Family Thursdays: September 1, 8, 15 and 22, 2011

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is proud to participate in this collaborative effort by the Woodruff’s artistic divisions – Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, High Museum of Art and Young Audiences. Join us for exciting programs offered at free or reduced prices!

The annual Target Free Family Day has been enhanced into four special Thursdays in September. Each day-long family event offers activities for every age.

During the day young ones and their families can visit the High Museum's Toddler Thursdays, attend a family-friendly film, listen to a storyteller, or see our new Theatre for the Very Young performance, geared toward children 18 months to 4 years. All activities are free.

After school, middle and high school students can explore the High Museum of Art (until 8 p.m.), sample an art or acting workshop, or catch a special film.

After 5pm the Galleria Lobby will be full of artists, activities and family-friendly food. The highlight of each Target Family Thursday is Into the Woods, a collaboration between the Alliance Theatre and the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, that brings audiences into a music-filled world with romance, magic and the unexpected consequences of dreams that come true.

Check back in the coming weeks for a full schedule of activities and a link to purchase discounted tickets to Into the Woods!
