The Community Music School offers classes for Beginning and Intermediate students covering the basic elements of music, appreciation, ensemble playing, and introductory courses for stringed instruments.

Available For: Grades 4-12 and Adults

Learn to play an instrument! In a group setting, participants will learn the basic elements of music, how to read music, and how to play one of the following instruments: violin, viola, cello or bass.

Available For: Grades 9-12 and Adults

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s 2016/17 season serves as the basis for a discussion of the rich and compelling stories of the world's greatest composers, their music and their interpreters. Join Ken Meltzer, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Insider and Program Annotator, for a lively and interactive survey of masterworks from the 1700s to the present. Class discussions will include numerous audio and video musical excerpts, as well as opportunities to attend ASO concerts.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Brass Ensemble's mission is to provide those passionate about brass music in Metro Atlanta the opportunity to refine their art in an ensemble comprised of like-minded individuals – both young and old.
