Booking Information

Booking any of the educational programs from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3!

Step 1 – Review program opportunities and determine which programs best meet your needs.

Step 2 – Complete an online program request form. (OR you may phone the Teacher Hotline 404-733-4871.)

Step 3 – Follow the instructions you will receive from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s education department to bring high quality music educational programming to your students.


PAYMENT

Concerts for Young People tickets are $7 per seat. Patrons receive 1 free seat for every 15 paid seats.

You will receive a contract-invoice indicating the number of seats reserved and the amount of the payment due by the stated deadline, within two weeks of receiving your reservation.

Please contact the office if you have not received your invoice after two weeks. Before you return the contract-invoice form, review the figures entered. Please make your check or money order payable to Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

One-Step Pre-Pay Reservation

(required for October and November concerts, optional for others)

Simply mail the order form with a check made payable to Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for the total number of reservations indicated on the Order Form. A confirmation letter and education materials will be sent.


Lunch Space Reservations

(Next Generation Concerts only)

Due to multiple activities at the Woodruff Arts Center, only limited lunch space is available (room for 150 people only). Space and time must be reserved in advance. Availability is on a first-come-first-served basis. Please indicate your request in the space provided on the Order Form.


FINANCIAL SUPPORT

There is a limited amount of financial subsidy available for Concerts for Young People. These funds are designated for public schools with no other alternatives for financial resources. Schools are asked to leverage every available dollar they can allocate to their field trip and then submit a grant request for funds needed to bridge the gap. When requesting your field trip, please indicate your desire to obtain a grant application.


SUPPORT MATERIALS

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra offers award-winning support materials for its Concerts for Young People. This year’s guide for teachers can be found online. We are also pleased to offer a library of online curriculum resources from previous years’ concerts online at: aso.org/EducationAndCommunity/StudyGuides.aspx We invite teachers to peruse these materials and use them to support classroom activities. Also, teachers are invited to contact the education department if they need assistance with GPS connections, prep materials, or any other resource.


ENSEMBLE - TEACHER MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra invites you to join your colleagues as a member of our “Ensemble” program at no cost. Once registered, you will receive an ID card that you can use for discounts on select concerts, priority notice on special educational programs and offers, and invitations to special events. Woodruff Arts Center Education Initiative

The Alliance Theater, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, High Museum of Art and Young Audiences collaborate on education initiatives designed to serve the community. These programs bring an interdisciplinary approach to programming that capitalizes on the strengths of the institutions that comprise the Woodruff Arts Center.
