Musicians in Schools/Communities

Educators and community leaders reach out to the nationally acclaimed musicians of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to bring their talent and inspiration to local communities. Through lecture demonstrations, master classes, music clinics, and hands-on activities, our musicians help bring instruction and inspiration to musical enthusiasts of all ages.

We also offer an Instrument Petting Zoo for early learners at many of our family concerts and in classrooms throughout the Atlanta area. This hands-on activity introduces children to the instrument families of the orchestra. Our education team and ASO musicians partner with educators to make this an interactive learning experience as we provide opportunities for children to examine a variety of instruments and learn to play them.

There is a one-time application fee ($100) for Musicians in Schools/Communities and the Instrument Petting Zoo. There is a special offer available for Title I schools – please contact Tyrone Webb for more information. This submission does not guarantee acceptance for the current season. In the event that your request is not able to be granted due to high demand or scheduling conflicts, the ASO will credit your application fee for the next season.
