Please Note: Pianist Ingrid Fliter is no longer able to make the trip to Atlanta this weekend, so Stewart Goodyear has graciously agreed to step in to perform Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Orchestra. We look forward to a beautiful performance.
Conductor Vasily Petrenko and pianist Stewart Goodyear join the Atlanta Symphony to perform Mendelssohn's masterful Piano Concerto No. 1. The Orchestra brings to life the legend of Don Juan in Richard Strauss' tone poem, and will dazzle you with Dvořák's Symphony No. 8, a work that draws inspiration from one of the Czech composer's greatest loves, the cheery and lyrical folk music of his native Bohemia.
Thursday evening includes a pre-concert chamber music recital at 6:45 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall. Free for all ticket holders for the April 27 and 29, 2017 concerts.
