Composer Jimmy López's Perú Negro is a brilliant and thrilling fusion of folk and classical elements. Prokofiev’s Concerto is filled with virtuoso opportunities, as well the “caustic humor” often found in Prokofiev’s music. Many consider the Symphony No. 7 to be Dvořák’s finest – it teems with melodic inspiration, high drama and riveting momentum.
