Composer Xi Wang Joins Ken Meltzer, Thursday, February 19, at 7 pm

Considered one of her generation’s most talented and active composers, Xi Wang (www.xiwangcomposer.com) discusses Above Light – a Conversation with Toru Takemitsu — which opens the concerts of February 19/21 and 22 — with ASO Program Annotator/Insider Ken Meltzer at a free Pre-Concert Lecture, Thursday, onstage at Symphony Hall. Above Light was inspired by the colorful and unique soundscapes created by Takemitsu, who became the first Japanese composer to achieve worldwide recognition.
