Creative partnerships and collaborations are an important part of the ASO's vision for the uniquely American Orchestra of the 21st century. In the 2008-2009 season, the Orchestra continues to explore the possibilities of joining diverse musical viewpoints and taking new artistic directions.

Season highlights include contemporary works by members of The Atlanta School of Composers. Audiences will also enjoy "American Originals," concerts featuring works composed by Americans as well as masterpieces written in America. And a multimedia spectacular will light up Symphony Hall for Musica Ardiente! This fiery tour-de-force showcases the music of Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and Colombia.

Special guests include YoYo Ma, Wynton Marsalis, Itzak Perlman, Garrick Ohlsson, Joshua Bell, and many more.
