Symphony Hall at the Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center has been the home of the ASO since 1968. In addition to ASO season performances, the Hall also hosts a variety of special performances by leading musicians, like Laurie Anderson, Garrison Keillor, Lizz Wright and Wynton Marsalis, as well as numerous special community events such as the 80th birthday celebration of poet Dr. Maya Angelou.
Opened in May 2008, the 12,000-seat Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta is the summer home of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. With 7,000 fixed seats under roof and 5,000 lawn seats, the one-of-a-kind venue hosts classical and popular entertainment, as well as family and community events. The venue’s inaugural season included leading national performers, like The Eagles, John Mayer and Rod Stewart.
Consistently voted one of Atlanta’s best venues for music, the 6,500-seat Chastain Park Amphitheater hosts the ASO’s Delta Classic Chastain summer concert series. For more than 35 years, leading popular musical acts and the ASO have delighted audiences in this beautiful and unique venue, set among the trees and illuminated by candlelit tables.
