Biography

Samuel Schlosser joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as Principal Trombone in December of 2016. Prior to his appointment in Atlanta, he served as Principal Trombone for the San Francisco Opera Orchestra. He has also served as a member of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. He has appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Seattle Opera and the New York Philharmonic.

An avid teacher, he has given master classes at the Mannes College New School for Music in New York and at the Jacob's School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington.

Samuel received his formal training from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he was a student of Nitzan Haroz, Principal Trombone of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
