Anna Spina, a native of Skokie, IL, joined the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as third horn in 2012. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University under the instruction of Gail Williams and William Barnewitz. While a student at Northwestern, she was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Ms. Spina completed her graduate studies at The Colburn School, where she studied with Andrew Bain and David Krehbiel.

Ms. Spina has attended the Spoleto Music Festival and Pacific Music Festival in Japan, and spent two summers as a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center. In addition to festival appearances, Ms. Spina has had the opportunity to perform with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, and in 2010 performed alongside her fellow Civic Orchestra musicians as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
